"...and that's how we ended up here." Prism ended their tale, "What happened to you guys?"
"After you left the lich queen somehow found her way to our town. We thought our walls would protect us, but we had no way to get food or water. Drows came to attack again, and while it was distracted by them we fled. It took a lot of work, but with the use of all our weapons and Ariana's magic we leveled out the hole so it was steep enough to climb. The drows weren't far behind us." She explained.
"How'd you figure out the stone panels?" Prism asked.
"Ariana disappeared, so we all tried the same thing." She shrugged.
"Yes, you must have truly wanted to trap people." Ariana glared at Blake.
"It wasn't my doing, it was there for us too." Blake answered.
"I see. Well, as you can tell, we didn't move too far. We're pretty close to Cervik's ruins right now." Syiera continued.
"Cer... You mean we came all the way back? Oh no!" Prism moaned.
"So you'll be off to Ephesus then?" Syiera asked.
"Yeah, then Afina will give us her treasure too!" Emeryl smiled.
"Then I'll see you off." She stood from her Indian style position.
"Lady!" Ariana instantly tailed her, "Shouldn't we escort them to Ephesus?"
"We don't need help." Leiko retorted.
"Leiko, don't be rude." Prism scolded her.
"I don't see why not. See a bit of the world for once. The troops can handle themselves." She nodded her agreement.
"We can handle ourselves too." Leiko stubbornly folded her arms.
"Ignore her. We'd be happy to travel with you." Prism stood up.
"Yeah, we can go to Ephesus together!" Eric jumped.
"Well, we can always make a few other stops too." Emeryl suggested.
"We don't want to be bothersome." Syiera started.
"Oh, ignore her. She's just jealous because she's a little kid." Bentora shrugged.
      "I am not!" Leiko retorted.
"In that case, we'll see you safely to Ephesus!" Syiera drew her sword valiantly.
"Very well then." Prism pulled out his map, "I better mark Thessalonica on the map. I'd estimate it's around here." He slid his finger around part of the forest, "And since we must have gone north, we'll have to go southeast to head back."
He worked himself as a human compass, pointing behind them.
"What's stopping us? Let's go already." Blake complained.
Ariana glided to Emeryl's side. He twitched an ear and smiled softly at her.
"This is exciting, I can't wait to get the other gem from Afina." Emeryl told her.
"Yes, I can't wait either." Ariana agreed.
"I hope this works. You'd like Alan, he was very nice." Emeryl grinned, remembering Alan's confidence and his loyalty to his brother even after a decade.
"Yes, I'm sure I will." She agreed.
"Ok everyone. I think we have this figured out. Let's move!" Prism announced.
