In silence they traversed across the forest until Syiera suddenly halted them.
      "What is it?" Eric asked.
      "I felt something." She whispered.
"Felt? You must be paranoid." Blake grimaced.
"Wait, I hear something!" Emeryl twitched an ear. On Blake's shoulder the kitten tensed and hissed.
For a few tense moments they waited as a large shadow overcame them. A head higher then a two-story building glowered down at them with green slit eyes. The identifiable scales and large unfeathered wings easily classified it as a green dragon. Pale yellow scales covered its underbelly while darker green scales covered the spine of its back.
"Told you." Syiera drew her sword and dropped into a fighting stance.
"Wait, we might not have to fight." Prism jumped in front of her, "Lo', dragon! What have you come here for?"
"I'm hunting you idiot." The dragon rumbled.
Taken back, Prism tried again, "Oh... um, I see. Well, would you mind telling us which direction is south east?"
The dragon retracted its outstretched neck, "What's in it for me?"
"Umm..." Prism passed the question to Blake.
      "Two gold?" Blake shouted.
It was silent a moment, "I don't trust half elves. Especially not ones that hang out with drows."
      "How rude." Syiera huffed.
"He's big, he can afford to be rude." Emeryl awed.
"Excuse me? Excuse me?" Ariana called, "Can you please at least tell us if we're going the right way?"
He glanced at her, then at Prism, "You're just a bunch of dragonslayers, aren't you?"
      "Dragonslayers?" Ariana echoed in shock.
"You have Aidan's jewel... and he wouldn't have given it to you..." the dragon studied them suspiciously.
Before Prism could stop him to explain he shot out his wings and launched into the sky. Making a large round turn above them he soared away.
"Well, I guess we continue." Emeryl shrugged.
"Not many other options. Let's go." Prism ordered.
