"Later Maskini appeared... and I just cried on him all night..." the tears were collecting in Emeryl's eyes.
      "It's all right Emeryl. That's what I always liked about you, you were too trusting. You had hope for everyone. Don't let six hundred years of loneliness change that." Blake answered.
      He quietly patted Emeryl on the back as the elf curled onto his lap.
      "I've tried not to hate anyone... I've tried so hard..." he whimpered, "Ne, my parents wouldn't want me to."
      "Calm down. Calm down, you need to go to bed." Blake rubbed his back softly. He could feel Emeryl shaking in his lap. The elf would probably cry himself to sleep.
      Blake curled his arms under Emeryl's knees and back, hefting him up. Stealthily he carried the elf back to the room.
