Remus polished his badge with the cuff of his sleeve until it shined, "I'm glad that oversized spider is staying in the forest. You can leave the rest of this to me."
Staring at the docks of Kobo they looked over a few large ships resting idly at port. Beautiful white sails flapped in the wind.
      "Well?" Lirit glanced at Remus.
"Just waiting for my chance..." he shifted his 'Postal' cap, "And here it is."
A stalwart man raveling a rope to hold the boat to the dock swept the sweat over his bald head. Casting away the shadows that hid him, Remus marched straight up to the man with badge in hand.
"Sir!" Remus charged up to him with a demanding tone, "SPDS! We need to use your boat for private delivery of an emergency message, sir!"
The seaman scratched the back of his shiny bald head, "SPDS? Umm..."
"Thank you sir! Your services won't be forgotten!" Remus assured him. From the corner of his eye he saw his friends sneaking into the boat.
      "But, I..."
"You'll be congratulated by the king himself! Your bravery is inspiring! I must leave to deliver the message, just report this to SPDS and they'll handle it!" Remus shoved the badge into his pocket. The man tried to speak with him or explain that he wouldn't give up his boat but Remus interjected loudly everytime. The rope flew off and Remus retreated from the plank to the boat.
Saluting the man enthusiastically he drifted out on the boat.
"Stop! Stop with my boat!" The man finally burst at him.
Remus looked to the ground where Kern and the others lay flat to keep hidden, "I can't take the boat if he directly tells me not to..."
Suddenly Kern leapt to his feet, drawing a gun on Remus. He yanked on Remus' hair and shoved him to the ridge of the boat.
"Stay back and I'll leave you out of this!" Kern spat at the seaman as the boat continued drifting out, "As for the mailman..." a sly grin crossed his face, "Well, you won't be receiving anymore packages from him..." Brutally he dug into Remus' hair who cried in pain.
"It's the vampire! The vampire's hijacked my boat!" the seaman exclaimed, running away.
The boat cruised away from the docks aimlessly and Kern shoved Remus away, "Get moving, we have to learn to sail today."
Massaging his poor head, Remus growled back, "What was that for? Couldn't you have at least pretended?!"
"No, you're a bad actor." He answered.
      "Exc..."
"Hey!" Lirit nudged into their brawl, "Why do I get the feeling this isn't the first time you've talked your way into getting something?" She glared disdainfully at Remus.
"Yeah, so? At least I don't point guns in people's faces, I do it legally!" Remus spat.
"Ne, quiet, you're all kids." Emeryl interrupted, "Go get the sails, I'll steer for now."
"He's right, let's take this one step at a time." Kern nodded.
