Pondering, his emerald eyes looked over to those by the fire.
"I had a normal life." Blake answered.
"Your town didn't seem very..." Emeryl began but Prism hushed him. Silently, he set Leiko's tunic on a rock and pressed the hot pot up to it. Steam hissed out as he slid the pot across it.
"Is it done yet?" Leiko asked as she scooted closer to Emeryl.
"Not yet. Give me another minute." He continued steaming out the navy blue sleeves. The leather thongs were still wrapped around the upper arms even though no one was wearing it and he had trouble trying to pull them out. Eventually he gave up, and handed Leiko her half dried outfit. She disappeared inside the cloak with her tunic only to reappear with her tunic strapped on.
"I have to give back this pot." Emeryl explained briefly as he wandered away from the group to find the owner.
"What did you and Alan do when you guys were up there?" Eric asked.
Prism glanced at Eric momentarily, contemplating, "He liked to go on adventures. I went with him for a long time, but after we passed by Fara Fara I stayed behind and set up my own magic shop. Alan left without me, and never stopped."
"Go home!"
They sat silently.
"Don't worry. He's probably yelling at me." Blake yawned. The guards still kept an eye on them from a good distance away.
"Do you think we need to keep watch again tonight?" Prism asked.
"I don't know about you, but I will." Blake replied.
Emeryl trotted back, sitting next to Prism and Leiko.
"Everyone keeps looking at me funny." He moaned.
"That's because you're too friendly." Blake answered, "You're just lucky that ash washed off in the river or they'd be spitting at you too."
"I'm not too friendly!" Leiko yipped.
"We should get some sleep." Prism switched subject back.
"I can agree with that... But I'm still a little cold." Emeryl curled up next to the fire.
"I have robes too!" Leiko wrapped Blake's cloak around her and curled up against Emeryl.
"Those were my robes..." Blake mumbled, "Well, what are the rest of you looking at? Go to sleep, I'm going to stay up anyway."
"I don't need to sleep!" Bentora sat herself Indian style.
"In other words, you want to stay up all night and keep an eye on me?" Blake reworded. She glared at him through slitted eyes.
"Suit yourself." Blake lay back comfortably.
