Outside of the town he checked cautiously for other people. After he discovered no one he dropped the package and bounced it on his knee. Whatever it contained inside shattered as it hit the navy blue pants, but he continued by kicking the fragile package. As he reached the concrete entrance to Fara Fara he quickly bent down and swooped up the box.
An innocent smile came to him naturally as he whistled down the busy streets. His bright blue eyes and short cut blond hair glistened with a fake aura of sweetness, emphasized by the square shaped hat on his head clearly marked 'Postal'.
"Remus!" a young man waved him down holding a small brown package. With his plainly stamped 'Fragile' box slipped under his arm he strutted over with a sensitive air about him.
"Hey, Brad. What's up?" he smirked.
"Old man Prism just died yesterday." The boy answered seriously.
"Really?" Remus was truly shocked, "That guy's been there forever. My dad told me he's been there since he was a kid and before that even. God, he must have been old."
"It's really strange too, just last week he was saying he didn't have much time left. He didn't have any family so I have his shop now. All he asked me to do is mail this package to someone. He said it was very important." Brad explained.
"Hey, you know I'm the mailman!" Remus pointed towards himself proudly.
"Remus, are you sure you can do this? I mean, you absolutely have to get this package to this person, I'm not even sure who she is, and without it damaged. It's old and extremely fragile." He toned his voice into a scolding parent.
"Can I? Of course I can!" Remus dropped his current package to take the one Brad held.
Discomfort in his eyes, Brad calmly pointed out that Remus dropped his package.
"Oh, it's fine." He nervously snatched it up again.
"And you have to get this there ASAP too. Are you sure you can handle this?" Brad said more and more anxiously.
"I would head off, but as you can see I have to drop off this package first." Remus closed his eyes as he received the second package.
"Oh, good. Then you might want to explain what happened to that package I sent to my mother..."
"Well, look at the time. As you said, ASAP! I better go!" Remus interrupted him with his watch. In the blink of an eye the mailman was charging back out of town.
"In one piece Remus! Guard it with your life!" Brad shouted after him.
