"Prism, I'll meet up with you guys later." Emeryl stopped in the middle of the road. By the time they'd reached Doko it was early evening.
"Sure, don't forget!" Prism replied. Emeryl nodded, heading back down the road.
"Wait! I'll go with you!" Ariana rushed after him.
"No, I will!" Leiko bolted after her.
"Now what?" Eric turned to Prism.
"It's too late to go the rest of the way to Ephesus. It took us a long time to get here, let's just rent a place at the inn." He answered.
"But it's not night yet." Eric grimaced.
"I'll parry with you." Syiera offered, unsheathing her blade.
"Sure thing!" he retrieved his own sword.
"Take it out of town, you two. We don't want to alarm anyone." Prism shoved them the direction of the prairie.
As they strutted out of town with their blades slung over their shoulders Prism turned with questionable eyes to Blake and Bentora. Reserved, Bentora met him with a cold stare. Blake thoughtfully pet his kitten between the ears, eyes closed in solemn resignation.
"I'm going to the bar." The statement didn't quite fit with the serious tone he used and his calm appearance.
"Me too, see you later Mr. Wizard." She followed his lead.
"Typical..." Prism sighed, alone. He wasn't sure whether to be grateful or feel neglected.
"Hey, you two? Are you friends or do you hate each other? I can't tell." Prism called after the drow and the cat.
      "I hate her!"
"I hate him!" came the immediate responses. As they wandered off he could tell Blake flicked his ear at her, then they started shoving.
Again he found himself alone. Lamenting quietly Prism headed off towards the small town library until it was time for them to all meet up in the inn.
