"The elements were divided. Fire, Earth, Air, Water. And those were divided, Fire to Fury and Flames, Earth to Wood and Rock, Air to Corrupt and Purity, and Water to Cloud and Puddle." Prism read aloud, "These treasures were shaped into 'poor man's treasures'. They contained what was left of the era before the apocalypse. This may just be rumor..."
"Apocalypse? That was a long time ago." Eric flinched.
"Maybe to you. Elves remember it better. Six hundred years isn't as long to elves as it is to humans." Prism shut the book.
"Wait, so, why do you think these things are in the mountains?" Eric asked.
"Well, I pulled out a map, and we argued over it. In the end dragons tend to make their homes in caves or in mountains, and they also tend to have large treasures. Fionnula had this one." He reminded Eric, pointing out the poor man's treasure on Eric's sword.
"And why do these help us?" he persisted.
"Simple! With corruption I could animate dead. I figure, if we have two or three, we can revive Alan's body, then put him in there." Blake pried into the conversation.
"I'm gonna get a necklace!" Leiko interjected.
"What makes you think that?" Bentora glared at her.
      "Bureiko said so!" she declared.
      Their eyes moved to Blake.
"Well, if we're going after treasures I bet there will be a necklace. Besides, she wouldn't shut up." He shrugged.
"We're not here to slay dragons, we're going to ask them politely if they have or have seen any of these." Prism narrowed his eyes.
"Do you think we can raise Maskini too?" Emeryl hopefully asked.
"Only if he wants to be." Prism answered, "Gather up, let's go."
Eric handed Prism the dirty rag with which he was wiping his sword. With his pack strapped and refilled with supplies, Emeryl stood up confidently. Unlike the others Leiko carried nothing, preferring to let Blake carry all their supplies. Wrapped and hooked, Bentora carried their new pavilion on her back. Purring on his shoulder, the white kitten pawed at Blake's cloak.
He felt a soft tug on his other shoulder and glared over it at Emeryl.
      "What?" he sneered.
"What did Prism mean by that?" he asked meekly.
"How should I know?" Blake gently scraped his hands off the cloak.
      "Can you guess?" he begged.
"I could. Maybe he likes being dead and doesn't want to be raised." Blake shrugged, rubbing the kitten between its ears.
"Am I being selfish?" he worriedly questioned.
"Why are you asking me about morals? Go away!" he snapped, jumping at Emeryl and chasing him a few feet away.
"Blake! Don't pick on him!" Prism scolded protectively.
      "Hmph." He raised his chin.
Eric rushed ahead and climbed up a small, desk sized rock.
"You think these dragons are like Fionnula?" he glanced at the group.
"Maybe. I do know one of them. She lives in the mountains, I'm sure she'll lend us a hand." Prism strolled by the rock. Playfully, Eric swung the plain sword several times in the air. From behind Blake shoved him, throwing him off the rock.
Chuckling to himself, Blake continued trailing Prism. A small pop sounded as he flicked the cap off a bottle and began sipping at his ale. Eric brushed his shoulders off lightly.
"So, how do we find our way?" Bentora broke the silence. Prism dug into his cloak, fetching out a flashy yellow and green paper.
"I brought along a map." He flapped it out, "Now, if we circle around Cervik through the forest, Donde should be northeast, next to the mountains. We'll take a stop there, get more supplies, then head up the mountains. Does that sound good?" He lifted his head to check for approval. No one objected.
"Alright then, if we walk all day, set up camp, and continue walking we should be there sometime tomorrow. I figure, I'll take first watch, then Eric, Emeryl, Bentora and Blake." Prism laid out the plan. Grimacing, Blake twitched an ear at him. More playfully the kitten reached across his back to his other ear and batted at the crescent earring.
